Sunday January 4th, 1:00-4:00pm. Bellingham, WA.
Learn to make rings, bangles and/or circle earrings in this three hour beginning workshop.
Make the hoop earrings you’ve been dreaming of, make the ideal handmade present for a buddy, or take the class with a buddy! Simple stacking rings, bangle bracelets, and circle earrings are all workshops I have taught separately, and here, now, I’m combining them! The basic structure and building blocks are the same, a circle, just in different proportions. You can expect to make at least three rings, two pairs of earrings, three bangle bracelets or a combination of things. The material dimensions are just the starting point. You can add different textures with hammers or patterns with files to your project, or you can make non-circle shapes. Lots of possibilities! Expect to gain familiarity with basic traditional jewelry hand tools and techniques. You will learn to measure, cut, solder, file, form and finish the material. You can choose sterling silver or bronze. I will also bring copper scraps to practice techniques on if desired. All tools and materials will be provided. (If class is full, email molly@temperandtrue.com to join the waitlist. If folks drop out I will email you!)
If you have your own ear protection please bring it! I will have spare ear plugs.
Class will be held at Bellingham Art. 1701 Ellis Street, Bellingham, WA
